Born and raised in New York, Michael ventured out to California for both his undergraduate and graduate degrees, graduating from Pitzer College with a BA in Environmental Studies and American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine (ACTCM) with a Masters of Science in Traditional Chinese Medicine.
Michael is a board member of the North Star Fund, a non-profit that supports New York City's grassroots community groups organizing for economic and social justice.
